West of j : WUI : Status

The current version of the WUI is 0.2. It was released on May 4,2004. This is the second release of the Web User Interface.

The WUI is not finished, although it is functional. We have completed the base architecture. The event handling and display mechanisms are in place.

Our next steps include:

• Testing.
• Building a better list component. A prototype list component is included in the current release. We plan on continuing to improve this component.
• Begin creating a library of reusable complex-components. The WUI currently contains many basic widgets that can be utilized to build user interfaces. We would like to provide a set of more complex components.
• Investigate building or integrating with graphical GUI builders.
